Antihistamines Herb Natural
It is hardly believable that someone has not suffered from cold
or flu all his life. Few ailments are called common ailments because
many of us, in fact most of us suffer from these every other day.

There are a number of herbs which are helpful in cold and flu including
Chinese licorice root, pau’d arco, catnip, boneset, maitake
mushroom, cat's claw extract, mullein leaf, astragalus, white willow
bark.

PAU D' ARCO OR LAPACHO
Pau d'arco or Lapacho is an immune boosting herb. It is supposed
to be best against viruses. Pau d’ arco has been found to
cure from common cold to even HIV, and it has even been shown to
actively inhibit the growth of several vicious viruses and bacteria.
APPLE CIDER VINEGAR: Easily found and a great remedy of
all times. It has been used for hundreds of years. Weight-loss,
curing allergies, sinus infections, for colds, flu, arthritis, gout,
and many other problems, what else do you want?
To use it for its antihistamine properties mix natural apple cider
vinegar and water in equal parts. Boil this solution in a pan, when
the fumes rises lean over the pan and inhale the fumes.
Be careful to have a safe distance to prevent from rashes and burns.
LEMON: Lemon strengthens the immune system and
acts as an antihistamine. Barley water with lemon and honey will
encourage healing and shorten the duration of a cold.
It is beneficial in all types of cold with fever. Vitamin C-rich
lemon juice increases body resistance, decreases toxicity and reduces
the duration of the illness.
GOURD ROOTS: The roots of the bitter gourd plant
were used in Ancient Greeks, Chinese and Asians as a medicine to
cure a cold. A teaspoon of the root paste, mixed with an equal quantity
of honey or tulsi leaf juice, acts as an excellent medicine for
colds.
TURMERIC: Turmeric is an excellent immune boosting
agent. Once used in only herbal formulas, now is even a part of
cooking. Asians hardly cook any food without it.
Antiseptic and immune boosting turmeric can be used for colds as
well. Half a teaspoon of fresh turmeric powder mixed in 30 ml of
warm milk, and taken once or twice daily, is a useful prescription
for common clod, flu or aching body.
TAMARIND AND PEPPER: Dilute 50 mg tamarind in
250 ml of water. Boil the diluted tamarind water for a few minutes
with a teaspoon of butter and half a teaspoon of black pepper powder.
This is great for clearing of sinuses and stuffed nose.
